Last week's 'Healthy Breakfast Week' was a great success here at school. We had nearly 800 breakfasts eaten between Monday and Friday. The children and parents enjoyed the informal atmosphere, with the opportunity to eat a healthy breakfast together. The choice of food was wonderful - with scrambled eggs, beans of toast, quorn sausages, cereals, juices, toast, fruit and yoghurts available each morning.
The children also enjoyed having time to exercise before school to help them start their day full of energy.
Thank you to Mrs Idrissi and her team for preparing such lovely food and Mr Hill for organising the mentors. We would also like to thank CityServes Claire Pettit for her support with this great project. The breakfast club is open each morning for all parents to drop off their children so they can eat and be looked after by our staff team. Mrs Ravat and Mrs Idrissi will be happy to welcome your children from 7.45 a.m. until 8.45 a.m. This will cost £1 for non-working parents and £1.50 for working parents.
Please encourage your children to eat a low sugar breakfast before they start school each day - so they have enough energy to learn.
