Dear Parents and Carers,
Unfortunately, we have had notification of a positive COVID-19 test within Year 1. I am informing you that I have consulted with Public Health England to ensure that we are taking the right actions for our school.
They have advised that ALL children should self-isolate for a period of 10 days from the date of contact. This means that Year 1 pupils will need to isolate until and including 23rd July. The advice from Public Health England is that children will need to be tested if they develop any of the symptoms as listed on the DfE and NHS websites:
- a high temperature– this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough– this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours(if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste– this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
School Lunches: If your child is entitled to a free school lunch, please collect these at 11:30am each day from the school office from Wednesday 14th July
Remote learning will be provided from 12:30 On Wednesday 14th July via Microsoft teams. Timetables will be uploaded shortly.
