We are extremely excited to inform you that in Year 4 your child will receive swimming lessons on the
school site, as Birchfield are once again hosting a temporary swimming pool. The temporary swimming pool
will be on site during the first half of the summer term and will be safely managed by a qualified lifeguard, a
swim instructor, and staff from Birchfield School.
When will my child swim?
Your child will swim each day for 45 minutes between Monday 29th April – Friday 17th May.
I am delighted to let you know that our school has partnered with Aspire Active Education Ltd to bring the Swim:ED
programme to the school site, for our pupils.
Swimming lessons will be provided by qualified swim instructors and your child will swim in a group of 12.
This will facilitate maximum progress during the time that your children are swimming.
