RSE Presentation

Dear parents/carers,

As you may know, the teaching of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in primary school is now statutory. The statutory element for primary schools is to teach pupils relationships and health education. We DO NOT teach sex education at any of our schools. 

Throughout the Trust, we teach RSE as part of our Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) curriculum.  Our lessons teach the children that there are many different types of people in the world and many different types of families. We teach the children about friendship, discrimination, tolerance and respect. We teach the children how to keep themselves safe, including online. We teach them about the importance of key values such as respect, kindness, cooperation and collaboration. Children learn that we are all different and we should respect those differences.
