I hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to inform you about an exciting new initiative to further enhance your child’s learning. Starting this half term, we will be introducing home learning designed to support and enrich the curriculum.
Each half term, we will be uploading a project-based task linked to a specific topic onto our school website. For this half term, the focus will be on Countries of the World and Oceans. This theme will provide opportunities for children to explore our wonderful world and its oceans.
To access the half-termly projects, please visit our school's website. Navigate to the For You, Pupils section, select Home Learning and click on your child’s year group page. All relevant project details and resources will be available there.
In addition to the project, we ask that children dedicate time each week to the following:
20 minutes daily on Times Tables Rockstars to strengthen their fluency in multiplication and division.
30 minutes daily on Oxford University Press resources to build comprehension and vocabulary skills.
10 minutes daily practising the reading and spelling of Common Exception Words.
If your child does not have a have login for Times Tables Rockstars or Oxford University Press, please speak to your child’s class teacher, who will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your continued support with your child’s home learning. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your child’s class teacher.
