Our recent residential trip to Preston Montford was an unforgettable adventure packed with learning and discovery!
The children had a fantastic time exploring the outdoors, building valuable skills through hands-on geography activities like measuring river flow, studying river creatures, and learning the history of the landscapes. Trekking through Carding Mill Valley and the rugged Stiperstones gave everyone a chance to connect with nature and experience the area’s stunning scenery. The trip was filled with laughter, discovery, and memory-making moments that will stay with the children for years to come. They returned home with a deeper understanding of the world around them and a newfound confidence in their abilities. This is what some children had to say about the trip:
‘It was a very fun trip. The activities were amazing! I also enjoyed getting to stay with my friends. Climbing the hill was hard, but when I made it to the top, I felt really proud of myself.’ – Liyana
‘My time at the residential was amazing! It taught me lots of news things and to try things out of my comfort zone. It made me a better team player.’ – Abu Bakr
‘It was a great experience! We did lots of team-building activities, orienteering and hiking. It was like no other fun I’ve had before.’ – Faria
‘The river studies were so interesting! I didn’t know how many little things lived in the water. I learned a lot, and it made me feel like a scientist!’ – Arwa
