On Thursday 12th March, our school community came together for a memorable Grand Iftar event, shared by our Year 6 pupils, their families and our staff team.
The evening began with thoughtful reflections and beautiful singing from some of our Year 6 pupils, setting a lovely atmosphere as we gathered to celebrate this special time of year.
Mr Hussain then took to the stage to share a range of stories and important learning about Ramadan. His talk helped everyone—children and adults alike—develop a deeper understanding of the values of gratitude, patience and generosity that underpin this blessed month. There was even a lively quiz at the end, adding plenty of fun and friendly competition to the evening.
Before the meal was served, Mr Hussain led the prayer, bringing everyone together in a moment of unity and reflection. This was followed by a delicious shared meal, enjoyed by all. The hall was filled with warm conversation, laughter and a wonderful sense of community as families, pupils and staff ate together.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mrs Ahmed for organising this fantastic event, and to Mr Hussain for giving his time to speak and lead our reflections. Their efforts helped to create an evening that was meaningful, welcoming and truly memorable for everyone who attended.
