From the 8th to 10th October 2025, a group of excited Year 6 pupils embarked on a memorable three-day residential trip to Ullswater in the stunning Lake District. From the moment they arrived on 8th October until they returned on the 10th, the children embraced every adventure with enthusiasm and teamwork.
One of the highlights of the trip was swimming in the lake—despite the chilly water, spirits remained high as pupils bravely paddled or took the plunge. Another unforgettable moment came during the night-time tunnel exploration, where torches lit the way and laughter echoed through the darkness, creating memories the children will cherish for years to come.
After their evening activities, pupils warmed up with delicious hot chocolate—a perfect end to action-packed days. On the second day, they ventured on foot to a beautiful nearby gorge, where they were rewarded with breathtaking views.
The trip concluded with a peaceful boat ride across Ullswater, giving the pupils a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake one last time.
Throughout the trip, the pupils showed fantastic cooperation and kindness, especially when working alongside pupils from other schools. It was heartening to see new friendships form and strong bonds grow.
A huge thank you to Miss Simpson for accompanying the pupils and making this wonderful trip possible. Her support and dedication ensured everyone had a safe, enjoyable, and inspiring time away.
